With this feature, you don't have to manually post your job ads on all job sites. Once you've created and published your job posting on ZipRecruiter, its platform will automatically distribute it through partner job sites. You can even share your job postings on social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
Unfortunately, ZipRecruiter does not post on major job boards like Indeed, Monster, and CareerBuilder. You'll also have to pay extra if you want to advertise jobs on veteran employment sites like Job Soldier and Veterans Enterprise. Most ZipRecruiterspartnersiderare smaller and specialized job boards such as Resume.com, Lensa, ITJobCafe, LiveTrucking, Jobrapido, BetterJobs and JobHat. While these sites may not get a lot of traffic individually, when added together, it adds up to a lot of attention for your job posting.
If you have hard-to-fill vacancies, its "TrafficBoost" tool helps your job ads get higher rankings and maximum visibility on ZipRecruiter's partner classifieds sites. This feature also promotes your job posting for up to 30 days or until it receives a selected number of views (eg 100, 200 or 300 views for a single job posting).
Unless you subscribe to its monthly Pro plan, you'll need to purchase "TrafficBoost" credits — which cost anywhere from $300 to $500, depending on the competition in your local area.
ZipRecruiter has a library of over 500job descriptiontemplates that you can customize to meet your job posting requirements. You also have the option not to use the template and come up with your own unique description. If you've already created an active job posting on ZipRecruiter and need to build a similar one, you can simply copy the listing provided and update the job information as needed.
ZipRecruiter automatically searches its database of job descriptions and suggests a pre-written template that matches your job posting.
ZipRecruiter's AI-powered candidate matching technology is designed to help you reduce the time it takes to sort through candidate resumes. It scans its database of more than 36 million CVs and sends you candidate profiles that match your requirements (such as skills, work experience and education). You can then invite these candidates to apply for the job. You can also use ZipRecruiter's "Call for Applications" tool to search for top talent. This is a feature not found on many other job boards such as Indeed or Glassdoor.
It's easy to invite candidates to apply for your vacancies on ZipRecruiter.
With AI-powered candidate matching, you can search ZipRecruiter's resume bank to find candidates who can match your hiring requirements. Using resume search helps you find job seekers who are passive candidates, meaning they haven't applied for your position, but might – if you contact them.
With ZipRecruiter, you can run as many resume searches as you want. However, you can only view candidate resumes if you subscribe to the Premium and Pro levels.
ZipRecruiter gives you job postings that you can easily reuse. You are also not limited by the 30-day job posting limit. This means that you can immediately post a new job as soon as you have completed the hiring process for an existing job posting.
You can sort and review candidates through ZipRecruiter's easy-to-use dashboard. You can also rate and organize candidate profiles using the Thumbs Down (Not Interested), Thumbs Neutral (Not Sure) and Thumbs Up (Interested) buttons. Its smart technology even learns from your ratings so it can send resumes to candidates similar to those you've rated favorably.
You can easily change candidate ratings through the ZipRecruiter dashboard.
If you have a company website, you can promote your vacancies there using the embeddable ZipRecruiter widget. Just copy the job widget code directly to your website and voila, your website has a recruitment page. You also don't have to worry about editing open jobs in the widget if there are updates. Any changes you make to job postings on ZipRecruiter are automatically updated on your company website via the widget.
ZipRecruiter offers solid tools to look up jobs and find the best candidates - making it one of our recommendationsrecruitment software.
ZipRecruiter's pricing is based on the number of active job postings, resume views, and user slots you need, including your business location and desired job distribution level. It doesn't publish its fees online, so you'll need to contact the provider to discuss your requirements and request a quote. The customer service agent we spoke with shared that ZipRecruiter has usage plans and monthly plans, each with sub-tiers and package options.
With Usage, you can send as many active job ads as you need. The following is a listing by job, per day rates where you will be billed either on a monthly basis when your account reaches $500 or upon cancellation, whichever comes first. There are two options:
- Standard:For $16 per job per day you get one reusable job and unlimited candidate submissions. In addition to allowing you to distribute job postings through ZipRecruiter's partner classified ads, you have access to its smart dashboard where you can create job postings, rate candidates, and review the online applications you've received.
- Bonus:At a daily rate of $24 per job postings you get all of Standard's features plus premium job posting distribution and access to ZipRecruiter's resume bank with 25 resume views per month.
Please note that continued access and previews are not available as paid add-ons to the Usage Standard plan. You also cannot purchase additional resume views even if you subscribe to ZipRecruiter's Usage Premium option. If your resume viewing needs exceed 25 views per month, you will need to upgrade to their monthly plans.
Compared to usage plans, ZipRecruiter's monthly packages are a bit more complicated as they have sub-tier and sub-tier options.
They are based on the number of active jobs and include:
- Let:Eat slot
- Starter:Three slots
- Tim:Four to 10 seats
- Community:11 to 20 seats
- Enterprise (top tier):Monthly slot limits start at 50
Its sublevels have three options based on the job assignment level required.
- Standard:This is for easier-to-fill and entry-level jobs with a low degree of urgency in non-competitive markets, where job postings naturally drop faster in search results. Similar to the standard usage plan, this includes one-click posting to over 100 of ZipRecruiter's partner ad slots.
- Bonus:This is good for jobs with semi-urgent hiring levels in semi-competitive markets. Provides better reach and higher priority than standard plans. In addition to one-click job postings, you get access to ZipRecruiter's AI candidate sourcing tools and a resume bank with up to 25 views per month.
- Advantage:Best for rapid recruitment, this gives you a dominant position on classified ads for urgent roles that are hard to fill in competitive markets. In addition to Premium features, you get three "TrafficBoost" credits and seamless integrations with ZipRecruiter's partner application tracking systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse, Bullhorn, ZohoRecruit and ApplicantPro.
For monthly packages, select the sub-level and sub-level based on your recruitment company's requirements. Let's say you need one active job per month with a standard job assignment level, then choose the Simple Standard plan on a monthly subscription. If you need a premium or professional level of distribution for a single reusable workspace, then your monthly package will be Simple Premium or Simple Pro.
To give you an idea of how much the Simple tier costs, here's an overview of ZipRecruiter's pricing and some of the plan's essential features.
A simple level(With one active job per month)
Job ads with one click
Smart dashboard access
Unlimited number of candidates
Continue to access the bank
Views of monthly resumes
Credits to increase traffic
Recruitment for several companies
Unlike the Usage Premium option, you can purchase additional resume views ($1 per resume view) for a monthly premium, including the Pro plan. You can also add additional user seats for $15 per seat. seat per month.
Although ZipRecruiter has flexible subscriptions, its plans can be a bit confusing, mainly because of the many options. We recommend calling ZipRecruiter's sales team instead of asking for pricing via live chat. In this way, you get more clarity about subscription limits and functions.
Schedule upgrades/downgrades and automatic renewals
With ZipRecruiter, you can easily change your subscription at any time. If you need additional positions, you can upgrade to your chosen level (eg entry, team, company) directly through your ZipRecruiter online account. However, if you wish to downgrade your plan, the system will automatically close and remove open jobs from the allowed job slots in order from oldest to newest.
For example, if you switch from the team plan (with 10 jobs) to the starter option (with three jobs), the seven oldest jobs will automatically close on your plan's monthly renewal date. To avoid closing the wrong jobs, we suggest you manually close any excess jobs before downgrading your plan.
All ZipRecruiter pricing options are set to auto-renew at the end of each billing period. However, you can turn this off via ZipRecruiter's "My Account" settings, specifically through the "Subscription" button and selecting "Cancel Auto-Renew".
When auto-renew is turned off, your account will become inactive on your next billing date and all your excess job postings will be removed.
This is how a job posting works in ZipRecruiter
Whenemployment of employees, easily posting open jobs on several job boards and quickly finding the best candidates are two important goals. In this section, we walk you through ZipRecruiter's job posting and applicant search process step by step, so you can see what it's like before you apply.
Go to the ZipRecruiter website and click the "Submit a Job" button in the upper right corner of the screen. A pop-up window will ask you to create an account, where you can enter your company name and select the number of employees your company has via a drop-down menu. Once you've selected your company's headcount, follow the on-screen instructions to create a ZipRecruiter account.
Once you have created an account, you will see your dashboard. You can create and publish your first job in the "Jobs" menu. ZipRecruiter allows you to post most types of jobs – except home and home/residential roles like housekeepers and babysitters.

Enter job title, job location and employment type. If the job is remote, you still need to list the company location, but you can add the word "remote" in the job title and as the job address on your posting.
For the job location, you can enter the full address or city/state or zip code.
Writing a good job descriptionit is important to attract the best candidates and prevent those who do not qualify from applying. The key is to keep your job description short, informative and interesting. Use clear section headings and bulleted details that list job functions and any required education or work-related certifications.
Similar to remote jobs, if your vacancy is a commission job, the words "commission only" must be included in the job description section. If not, ZipRecruiter will flag the post.
If you're lucky, ZipRecruiter already has a similar job description for you to start with. You can use the templates and adapt them to your particular workplace. You can even save previous templates if you need to recruit for the same position several times.
Most job applicants don't read past the first page, so don't try to fit the entire job description into the job ad. Look for the most important job attributes and leave out the parts that can be addressed during the interview process.
ZipRecruiter also lets you choose which onebenefits that your company offerspotential employees. You don't need to enter the information manually as the benefit options have checkboxes that you can easily select.

Many employers choose to provide oneSalary rangeor salary rate for job roles. One of the features of ZipRecruiter is that it allows you to set a compensation range for your job posting. Although entering a salary is optional, you'll get better results if you include at least one range.
ZipRecruiter has a chart that shows how much similar jobs pay compared to your salary or range.
After entering your compensation information, you can add skill keywords to help you target the job seekers you want. ZipRecruiter even offers recommended skills based on your job description. You can use its suggestions or manually enter job-specific skills.
The hiring company section is where you can enter information about your company that will encourage job seekers to join your company. In addition to providing some background and company history, you can share what it's like to work at your company and whether flexible hours or telecommuting is an option.
You only need to add this information once, and ZipRecruiter adds this information to every job you post.
Before your job posting goes live, choose whether to try ZipRecruiter's free trial or purchase a paid plan. If you choose the free trial, please note that it is only free for four days and you must enter your credit card details. You can sign up for a free trial of the Standard plan, which only includes one reusable job, or the Premium level, which comes with premium recruiting and access to ZipRecruiter's resume bank.
If you do not cancel your free trial before the four-day period is up, ZipRecruiter will automatically charge your credit card for the selected plan.
Before you can post your job, you must notify ZipRecruiter of which user will receive the system's new applicant email notifications. Note that this is the system administrator by default, but you can easily add new users to the system – provided your plan allows for more seats. Once you've done this, select the "Save and Post Now" button and ZipRecruiter will automatically distribute your job openings to its network of over 100 job boards.
